Music

Music is an important element in Alder Community High School’s aim of developing qualities such as confidence, maturity, self-understanding, self-worth and the ability to work effectively with others. The Music Department seeks to give all students diverse musical opportunities and to enhance their individual understanding of music.

As part of the school’s new Computing College status the Music Department has embarked on a new music technology project investing in new Cubase SE and Dance E-jay software to enhance composition and Music ICT skills across the curriculum. To enhance the project the school is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Halligan as ‘Composer in Residence’
